Upslope Functional Trainer

The combination of organic and rectilinear forms, along with the use of materials such as wood, steel, and a mirror on the front facade of the cabinet, collaboratively contribute to bestow an aesthetic appeal to this functional trainer comparable to that of any other piece of furniture.

Internal Pulley System

Orthographic views of the internal pulley system and attached derailing sled are shown above.

The derailing sled (below) allows for the closed loop pulley system to operate along a curved plane. The cable is stored behind a series of 20 rollers, in the machine’s curved supporting beams, with the derailing sled allowing the cable to be removed from select rollers as necessary to adjust the handle height.
